Claire Fontaine has produced 8 unique drawings, fashioned by the shape of lock picking tools, to share with us the intricacies of navigating complex interiors - whether it be an unanimated object or an object of desire – the sequences within the text and these drawings ultimately reveal how to “win the resistance of closed doors that we all face each day”.

Each drawing is a hand-made reproduction of the book cover made on A4 Claire Fontaine paper, smudged and detailed by the artist's hands.

TARZAN NOIR

TARZAN NOIR is a performance that took place on the 1st of October 2011, during the 10th annual Nuit Blanche, in Paris France.

TARZAN NOIR is a journey from Brétigny to Paris, during which the performers were carrying 35 porcelain tigers and riding public transportation. The end of the journey was the Arène de Montmartre, where the tigers were lifted in unison before being smashed onto the ground.

The performance was curated by Pierre Bal-Blanc and Luca Cerizza, in collaboration with CAC Brétigny, Centre Social La Fontaine de Brétigny-sur-Orge and Nuit Blanche 2011 Paris France.

Having recently published his book with onestar press entitled « Untitled/147 Poses of Wooden Frame and Fabric », Marius Lut has followed up his publication with 10 unique silk-screened prints - abstracted yet stunning in their intense representations of form and density, each multiple elegantly coalesces between identifiable logo-like constructions with slight and surprising organic alterations. Elusive yet staid in presence, each multiple is additionally adhered by a band of black adhesive which further compounds these mesmerizingly formal observations.

In conjunction with the recent publication of « Boooooooook » by Jonathan Monk, onestar press is pleased to present « Boooooooooooook » the multiple - a series of 10 one-of-a-kind photomaton representations of Monk's highly conceptualized book in photo.

These 10 individual pieces are available on a first-come first-serve basis and are limited to one piece per collector at the request of the artist. Originally framed and photographed in a photomaton by Monk himself, these images offer a physical and visual engagement that extends beyond the printed format – placing the artist's hand directly within his own creative process as accompaniment to the finished book.
